Overview

Government Giridhar Ramnarayan Institute of Commercial Practice Polytechnic, Bangalore is a professional oriented institution situated in the verdant green vicinity of Government Secretariat, the college is an impressive campus next to the famous Cubbon Park. The campus has been established on a comprehensive long term master plan. Our Polytechnic emerged as one of the few polytechnics in Karnataka imparting knowledge and creating talents in commercial and administrative supportive services both in Government and Corporate sectors.

This Polytechnic was established in the year 1968 by Late. Sri Ramnarayan Challa Ram, doyen Philanthropist, Industrialist and his son late. Sri Girdhar Ramnarayan donated generously during 1960s to commence the Giridhar Ramnarayan Institute of Commercial Practice, popularly known as GRICP, Polytechnic to provide management, commerce and administrative education to students with a fair share of opportunities.

At present this Polytechnic is wholly run by the Government of Karnataka and comes under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education. Highly qualified faculty provides a strong academic background to the students and has been empowering the youth and contributing to the evolution of knowledge and training the students in the commercial, secretarial and administrative supportive services. This Noble institute has been dotted with many milestones of success and glory. Started with student strength of 65, today GRICP Polytechnic enrolls 200 students annually. More than 5,000 students have so far been graduated from this Polytechnic. Our Alumini members are holding many prestigious in India and abroad and have been serving in many capacities and many have turned into entrepreneurs.
