Overview

The Department of Forestry, Wildlife & Environmental Sciences was established in the year 1989 with the aim to provide world class professionals to produce skilled manpower and professionals for Forest Deapartment of the country and its rich floral biodiversity management. The syllabi of B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes include studies of all segments of forestry, wildlife, environmental sciences with a view to provide the students knowledge and skills that are at par with the best any where. The departments organize lecture of eminent forest scientists and academicians. The National Seminars and Symposiums are organized on regular basis on recent and tropical themes of Forestry & Environmental Sciences. Excursions to plantation areas, natural forest and forest nurseries are the regular features in the curriculum to make the subject better under stood.
