Overview
CIPET Centre in the state of Tamil Nadu was established at Chennai in the year 1968. In its four and half decades of untiring services to the nation CIPET Chennai has established its reputation as one of the best institutions in the field of Plastics Engineering and Technology. Presently, CIPET Chennai is one of the five high learning centres of CIPET offering Doctoral, UG and PG programs in the field of Plastics Technology and Manufacturing Engineering.
CIPET campus is spread in an area of 8 acres of serene environment conducive for academics and is located at Guindy in the heart of Chennai city, 3 km away from the Anna International airport and 10 km from Chennai central railway station and about 6 km from Chennai Mofussil bus terminus (CMBT). B.Tech. (Plastics Technology) Course is offered since 2008-09, B.E. (Manufacturing Engineering) Course is offered since 2010-11, M.Tech. (Plastics Technology) Course is offered since 2004-05 and M.E. (CAD/CAM) Course is offered since 2009-10.
