Overview

Sri Vallabhacharya Vidya Sabha, the prominent managing body of D.G Vaishnav College, in its silver jubilee year, collaborated with Dewan Bahadur M. O. Parthasarathy Iyengar Charities for the establishment of this women's college in 1992, a dream realisation and the result of the determination and sustained efforts of the two trusts. Both these organisations have eminent industrialists, administrators and people committed to the cause of women's education.

Since its inception, the college has been committed to attracting and supporting top calibre women students providing them the right arenas for higher education. From a humble beginning with 3 courses in under graduation (B.Com, B.B.A. & B.Sc. Maths), the college today has over 14 UG & 8 PG courses plus a dedicated Research programme in the Department of Commerce. The college, affiliated to the University of Madras, has strength of 3,030 students.
