School of Seamanship and Nautical Technology located at Paiyambadi, Maduranthakam offers some of the best facilities in the country with its modern campus and state of the art facilities. The school offers Pre-sea training and STCW modular courses at its campus at Paiyambadi and all the courses offered have been approved by D.G. Shipping, Ministry of Shipping (GOI).

The Institute provides holistic training by training for ratings with a combination of practical demonstration and classroom teaching using state-of-the-art visual training aids. The institute believes in the all-round development of the individual student and provides avenues for the development of a complete seafarer. The institute strongly believes that every individual who pass out of our institute must be not only a great mariner but also excel in all aspects of life. Keeping this in mind, our training program is designed so that, our trainees have ample time for extra-curricular activities in addition to class room curriculum. A highly qualified and dedicated group of Master Mariners, Chief Engineers regularly takes classes at the academy to give the ratings up to date information about the latest developments in the modern maritime industry.
