Overview

The Coimbatore Diocese Society which has been established number of educational institutions in And around Coimbatore, District cause of serving humanity choose to fulfil a long felt need to open A new college for a benefit for boys and girls. The 150th year of celebration of the diocese and the Silver jubilee of the Episcopal Ordination of the then president of the society most Rev Dr.AMBROSE, D.D., D.C.L., became the memorable occasion to fulfil the genuine wishes of the Community by favourating the establishment of this co-educational institution in the city. The Tamilnadu government accorded permission to start this new college in G.O.No.382 dated 23-7-97, In the style to function as "BISHOP AMBROSE COLLEGE" and it obtained affiliation from Bharathiar University.
