Chirala Engineering College was founded in 2001. It is affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai; recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India, approved by AICTE, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi also is recognized by The Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai. The institute seeks to develop wisdom in students that translates academic achievement into responsible citizenship, sincere professional service. The institute strives to produce excellent engineers and managers so that they can serve the industry and society well in the future. Some of the courses proffered by the institute are Master of Business Administration, Diploma Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering, etc. The objective of the institute is to include high moral, ethical and professional standards among the students and improve their overall personality.
