Overview
The Department of Physical Education was started in the year 2008.The department offers full time Ph.D & M.Phil Programme in Physical Education and Yoga. The department organizes, South India level Volleyball and Kabaddi Tournament for University and College students. This department also organizes Rural Sports in Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball for the Rural Youth in and around Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE). The Department sends their sportsmen to participate in the All India Inter- University Sports & Games Tournaments, Tamilnadu Inter-Deemed University games and sports Tournaments and other National level Tournaments in games like basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, hockey, badminton, cricket and self defensive art like silambum etc. The department organizes guest lecturers, clinics for our sports students to discuss about the latest techniques and rules of games and sports.
