Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management was founded in 1998 and is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It is a unique institute in the country devoted to the study, conservation and preservation of the heritage. The college aims to create a trained and interested group of Heritage Managers, by providing instruction and research guidance adhering to the modern principles of management along with the heritage related disciplines of archeology, art, architecture, literary and oral traditions among others. The college creates mass awareness and an information base of heritage and its management by the use of media. It aims to establish a forum for curriculum development and research to build and maintain a status in the contemporary global mainstream of Heritage Management.
