Overview

Situated at Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, The Faculty of Dentistry was set up in 2009 by Jamia Milia Islamia University. As an integral part of the modern medical sciences, Dental Science has a vital role to play in our everyday lives. Along with learning to treat the dental diseases, the dental surgeons of today's world are also taught and trained to identify and treat various diseases that occurs in the entire orofacial region. This includes dental caries, periodontitis, oral cancer etc. The Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Milia Islamia has been on a journey of constant growth and has been striving for excellence over the past years since its inception in 2009. The institute proudly boats of its numerous notable achievements in the past academic years regardless of the fact that it's a relatively new Faculty. The prime objective of this institution is to hone students into socially-aware, scientifically inclined, responsible and well-rounded individuals along with transforming them into respectable doctors.

The Bachelors of Dental Science (BDS) course offered at this institution is well-recognized by the Dental Council of India. Various research tools and methods are used impart knowledge among the students in the most efficient ways possible. Students here are said to have an extremely satisfying and enriching learning experience at the campus.
