Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan was founded in 1970 and is affiliated to Govt. of India, NAAC. Its primary objective is to promote and evolve Sanskrit across the country. It is entirely funded by Government of India. It works as a capstone entity for advancement and evolution of Sanskrit and assists the Ministry of HRD in creating and executing various policies and plans to develop the field of Sanskrit studies. It has taken on the role of a central medium for the efficient execution of the many suggestions put forward by the Sanskrit Commission, set up by the Government of India. The vision of the institute is to proffer high-quality introductory courses in the Sanskrit language for beginners, both local and residing abroad and familiarize them with language.
