School Of Management Studies (SOMS), established in 1987, launched the diploma management as a pilot program of the University. The School offers 11 Management programs which comprises of 78 courses while 14 Commerce programs in which there are 46 courses available. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established in 1985, has been unceasingly strive to build a knowledgeable society by imparting inclusive education. The IGNOU Management Program is one of the leading Management Programs in the world. It imparts flexible quality education at the doorstep of the learners. The SOMS proffers MBA programs to various African countries, as part of Pan-African e-network Project as well. The School follows a multimedia way in delivering programs. It contains self-instructional printed course material packages sent to the students directly by post, supporting audio-video programs, face to face interaction with academic counselors at study centers, assignments for assessment and feedback, telecast of video programs on Doordarshan, broadcast of audio programs on all India Radio and live teleconferencing along with other learner friendly features.
