Sriram Institute of Marine Studies was founded in 2002. The institute is recognized by DG Shipping and the Government of India. The Institute offers several courses in the field of Marine Studies like Certificate Personal Safety & Social Responsibility, Certificate Post Sea (Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties), B.Sc. Applied Nautical Science (Pre-Sea Deck Cadet), Certificate Advance Fire Fighting Course, etc. The institute strives present an excellently represented front of the Indian Fraternity in front of the international marine sector with the best knowledge and the requisite skill. Sriram Institute of Marine Studies has always endeavored, with all earnestness, to be able to continuously produce top quality and highly professional seafarers from the young generation, capable of excelling in delivering the best services to the marine world.

Course Eligibility
Candidate with minimum Pass 10+2 (12th) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject with an aggregate of 60%. and 50% marks in English is mandatory either in class 10th or 12th. Students appearing in 12th class can also appear, however they have to produce the mark sheet and pass certificates as per the eligibilty standards.
Course Eligibility
Candidate with Min pass class 10th with English, Maths and science as subject. or Minimum 40% marks over all in class 10th and 40% marks in English in 12th. Selection will be based on Medical fitness both eyes 6/6 with no aids.No color blindness.No deformity in body. Fitness certificate by a DG Shipping approved docter be submitted. Medically fit as per MS rule 2000.
