CS (Company Secretary)


A Company Secretary is the person who represents a company to the internal and external stakeholders, coordinates the management functions and company policies, keeps an eye on ethics and mutual trust, helps in strategic decisions - aligning the company towards excellence. As a qualified professional from the ICSI, world's largest Institute for Company Secretaries, he is a true multifaceted, who executes the day to
day activities encompassing all the key areas of Corporate Governance, all the way to corporate growth through foresight and professional dexterity. Therefore, the one who aspires to pursue his / her studies in this field need to register themselves with the ICAI. The ICSI is a premier national professional body established under an Act of Parliament, namely the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. It functions under the administrative control of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It has been set up to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries.


The syllabus will be as per the relevant topics.


Candidates who have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) examination of a Board/University constituted by law in India or any examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto are eligible. Provisional admission is allowed to a candidate who has appeared or enrolled for appearing in Senior Secondary (10+2 or equivalent) examination , provided proof of passing the examination is produced within 6 months of making the application. Candidate is exempted from the foundation programme if he / she posses any of the degree as mentioned in the following link; http://www.icsi.edu/Student/FoundationCourse.aspx

Application Fees: 

Candidates need to register for the foundation course. The fee for foundation programme is Rs. 4500/-.

How to Apply :

Admission for the CS course is open throughout the year. candidates can get themselves registered for the same through ICSI.


Candidates have to appear for the written examination as per the attempt they have enrolled for (June or December).
