AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test)

Summary:

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University conducts AP PGECET, Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test). It is a state level common entrance test for admission to regular postgraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy. AP PGECET scores are accepted by various colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh.

Syllabus shall be as per the course applied for.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be an Indian National, who is a domicile of Andhra Pradesh. The candidate must have the degree of B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in the respective disciplines with at least 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved category). The candidates having valid GATE scores are exempt from AP PGECET and shall have to apply separately for admission.

Application Fees:

There is an application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates) for one test. If the candidate wants to appear for more than one test, he shall have to pay the said Application fee separately for each exam. The fee can be paid through any AP online center or payment gateway (credit/debit card and Net banking).

How to Apply:

Candidates must visit the official website of JNTUK: www.jntuk.edu.in to apply online. Candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully before applying for the exam.

Exam Pattern:

AP PGECET is an objective type paper consisting of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The duration of the test shall be 2 hours. Each question shall be of one mark.

Test Centers:

AP PGECET will be held in the cities of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tirupathi, Anantapuram.

Process:

AP PGECET is an offline exam conducted at various test centers of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tirupathi, Anantapuram.

Result Info:

AP PGECET results are likely to be announced in the month of June 2016. Candidate may check his result online on the official website of JNTUK:  www.jntuk.edu.in 

Admit Card:

Admit card may be downloaded online from the official website of the University from 18.05.2016 to 21.05.2016.

Seats Intake:

For intake capacity, the candidates are advised to check the official websites of various colleges and University that accept AP PGECET scores.

Complete Admission form:

Candidates shall have to fill the admission form online only by visiting the official website of JNTU: www.jntuk.edu.in. The application procedure will start on 06 March 2016.

AP PGECET scores are accepted by various Engineering colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh.
