NAT (National Admission Test )

Summary:

National Admission Test (NAT) is conducted by APIIT (Asia Pacific Institute of Technology) for admission to its B.Tech. course. All the eligible candidates can apply for the same as per the norms of the Institute. Students taking admission by qualifying NAT will be exempted from payment of Development Fees per year.

Syllabus:

The syllabus will be as per the subjects of the exam. The details of the same are provided hereunder.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be at least 17 years old on the 1st day of the month of admission. He/She must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Computer and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in all the three subjects taken together.

Application Fees:

The cost of Application form/Brochure is Rs. 700. The payment is to be made in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of "APIIT SD INDIA", payable at Panipat. The Demand Draft is to be sent to APIIT SD India, Faridpur Road, GT Road, Karnal Side, Near Toll Plaza, Panipat- 132103 (Haryana).

In the case of downloaded application form: A Demand Draft of Rs.700 in favour of "APIIT SD INDIA", payable at Panipat is required to be attached. The filled in application form along with the Demand Draft has to be sent to APIIT SD India, Faridpur Road, GT Road, Karnal Side, Near Toll Plaza, Panipat- 132103 (Haryana).

Exam Pattern:

The exam will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 50 questions each from Mathematics and Physics. The duration of the paper will be 2 hrs and 30 minutes. Each correct answer will fetch three marks and one mark would be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Process:

Students may opt to appear for the test online or offline. Students applying for Online Test will have to specify the Online Test Code and they will get a unique ID and Password through SMS or Email three hours before the start of the Online Test. The question paper will consist of 100 MCQs. The duration of the exam will be 2 and a half hours.

Admit Card:

Attested Form B will act as an Admit Card/Hall-Ticket for the candidate. It will be sent to the candidate by post 15 days before the test.

Seats Intake:

Haryana State Counseling Society will make admission to 50% seats (including 15% all-India category seats) through 'ONLINE OFF CAMPUS' Centralized Counseling based on JEEE-2016 (Main) Merit Ranking. The remaining 50% seats are reserved for Institute level and are allotted on Merit List based upon NAT exam.

List of Test Centres:

The test centers will be allotted on a priority basis. In case the number of candidates opting for a particular center is less, the Institute reserves the right to remove that test center and allot the 2nd or 3rd priority centers to the candidate.
