All India Bar Exam is a law Entrance Exam conducted to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE will assess skills at a basic level and is intended to set a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law. It addresses a candidate’s analytical abilities and understanding basic knowledge of law. Certificate of Practice will be awarded by the Bar Council of India to the candidate after passing this examination. The Examination will be conducted in nine languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya and English and the preparatory materials provided to each advocate will be in the language in which they choose to appear for the All India Bar Examination.

All students graduating from the academic year 2009-10 onwards need to clear the All India Bar Examination in order to practice law in India. AIBE will be an open book - written exam which will be conducted in various centres across the country.
Candidates will have 11 languages to choose for attempting the examination. Examination pattern will be multiple choice question and it will be open book exam.
The result will be displayed on the official website.
The admit card can be downloaded from the official website from 25.02.2016 onwards.
AIBE will be conducted in 40 cities all across India.
After qualifying this test candidate can start practice of law in the country.
