The Annamalai University conducts an Entrance Exam. The All India Medical Entrance Exam (AU AIMEE) is entrance level test for candidates who wish to take admission in various medical courses offered by the University. This medical entrance test is conducted for the following courses such as MBBS, BDS, BPT, B. Sc (Nursing), B. Pharm.
AIMEE is based on the syllabus of standard XIIth prescribed by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, conducted on the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
Applicants should have cleared their HSC examination, or any other equivalent qualifying examination and having studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Those who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the subjects as mentioned above at the said examination.
The application fees for the exam is different as per different subjects. Subject wise fees for the exam is given as under:
MBBS and BDS - 1500/-
BSC Agriculture, Horticulture - 800/- (General) & 400/- (SC/ST)
B.pharma, BSC Nursing & BPT- 800/-
B.E - 800/- (General) & 400/- (SC/ST)
The Candidate can get the application form from the university office, and it also can be downloaded from the university's Website. The candidates are expected to submit the filled-in application along with a demand draft of the said amount towards exam fee. The application must be sent by hand or by mail and should reach the university admission office address before the last date.
The exam will be Pen - Paper Based.
Each of the three papers, i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) is of 300 marks.
The candidate shall become eligible to take admission in the relevant course offered by the University.
