The Gujarat Common Entrance Test popularly known as GUJCET 2016 is a state level medical entrance exam. It is conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different medical fields such as BDS, MBBS, Physiotherapy, Homeopathy, Ayurved, Nursing, Optometry etc. in different government and private colleges in the state of Gujarat. GUJCET is conducted by The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Education Department, Government of Gujarat. Those applicants who are interested shall fill the application form from the month of March, 2016.
The syllabus for the exam is based on 10+2 (HSC), Science stream of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
HSC in medical stream conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar.The age of the candidate should be minimum 17 years.
Applicants are required to pay the application fee of Rs 250/- through DD in favor of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar”.
The paper comprises of 120 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. Duration for the test will be about 180 minutes. The test will be conducted in English, Hindi and Gujarati. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.The number of questions for each subject i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics is 40 each.
Result will be uploaded on the official website after the Examination. All the candidates can check your result using your roll no, date of birth.
Admit card available on the official website before the 20 days of the Examination. Candidates can check and downloads their admit card from the website.
The admission form for the exam will be available on the official website in the month of February or March.
