Admission to Manipal University is through the online entrance examination, which is held at centres all over India. MU OET Medical 2016 is a national level entrance exam conducted by Manipal University which is the gateway exam for candidates seeking admission to MD/MS/Diploma programmes.
Candidates appearing in MU OET PG Medical 2016 must have an MBBS degree from a medical college/institute recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) along with the mandatory rotating internship on or before the 30th of April, 2016. (Candidates failing to meet this condition will be barred from appearing in the examination).
An application fee of Rs.2000 may be paid in one of the following ways:
Online payment by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
By a Demand Draft in favour of Manipal University, payable at Manipal or Udupi.
The test is two and a half hours long. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 200 marks.

Medicine including Paediatrics, Genetics, Dermatology & Venereology, etc. – 40; Surgery including Orthopaedics, Trauma and Anaesthesiology – 30;
Obstetrics & Gynaecology – 20;
Community Medicine -20; Physiology – 14;
Pharmacology – 14;
Pathology – 14;
Anatomy – 10;
Otorhinolaryngology – 10;
Ophthalmology – 10; Biochemistry – 6;
Microbiology – 6;
Forensic Medicine - 6.
MU OET Medical exam does not hold any reservation of seat, and the seats are allocated only on the basis of merit without any relaxation for a special category.
MU OET is an Online Entrance Test comprising of multiple choice questions. Each question carries one mark. A correct answer will be awarded one mark; a wrong answer or unanswered questions will be awarded no marks. It is conducted in English, so it is expected that applicants should have a working knowledge of English.The final score will be displayed on the screen immediately after the completion of the test.
The result of entrance exam will be declared on or before May 27, 2016. The Manipal Medical result 2016 will be announced for only those candidates who will score the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. Based on the marks examination authority will prepare a merit list of candidates and accordingly they will be called for counselling.
The system generates the e-hall ticket 24 hours after you have booked your schedule through the online test booking system.
