BHU PET is the postgraduate level Entrance Test conducted every year by the University for admission in various Postgraduate Programmes. A candidate shall become eligible to pursue the relevant postgraduate degree course only after clearing the exam as per the University norms. Admissions will be made according to merit in the PET, subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements mentioned below and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Entrance Test. These Courses have been divided into “General Courses”, “Professional Courses” and “Vocational Courses”. All the Courses are conducted in the respective Faculties.

The application fee for the exam is Rs. 500/- (General), Rs. 250/- (SC / ST) for all courses as mentioned in the PET Official Bulletin. Whereas if the candidate has applied for more than one course, then the Application Processing Fee/Entrance Test Fee payable by him/her for each subsequent application (after first application) shall be charged as Rs. 200/- (General) and Rs. 100/- (SC/ST). The exam will be Pen - Paper Based. Candidates are supposed to answer the questions by darkening the correct option in the OMR sheet.
