Overview

Gulbarga University was established in 1980 by the act of the state of Karnataka. The University takes about 3500 students annually for various post-graduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in various fields. There are about 160 faculty members and about 700 technical and non-technical supporting staff. There are around 305 colleges affiliated to this University, which enrol graduate and diploma courses in arts, fine arts, music, social sciences, science & technology, commerce, law and education.

The University established one of its constituent college namely, Faculty of Commerce & Management. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The faculty offers courses such as Ph.D. Management, M.Com. Finance and Control and many more.
