Overview

Established in 1992, Government Polytechnic, Hisar works with primary objective to intensify employability of their students to modify themselves into production ready and utility based experts who will be able to attain standard placements with their intellect and expertise in various fields. In 1992, diploma courses of Plant Maintenance and Industrial Electronics were instigated with the admission of 15 students in each trade. In the present scenario, the institute is managing 11 Diploma courses with approximately 3000 students on roll. Highly educated, motivated and dedicated faculty members are working continuously round the clock to guide and train the future professionals. For overall personality development, sports, technical and managerial activities are integral component of the yearly schedule. The Institute is extended over an area of 40 acres. The campus is laid out with teaching blocks, gym, play ground, hostels, canteen, and residential quarters for the faculty. Another boys hostel is under construction. The campus has the amenities of spacious, well ventilated lecture halls and tutorial rooms, well equipped workshops, computer labs and hi-tech laboratories with latest equipment to provide students a practical exposure to industrial environment. The Institute library has a total collection of about 60000 books, with a subscription of 26 magazines and 12 News Papers, 1000 Reference books and 8 Journals to provide students and teachers latest guidance in every field of knowledge.
