Overview

Established in 2008, Teerthanker Mahaveer University was formed under the Act of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The youth favours the University because of the advanced sciences and the shedload subjects in arts and languages. TMU is accredited by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and AICTE. Its situated barely 144km from New Delhi, on NH-24. TMU initiated several departments and colleges for Polytechnic, Dental, Para-Medical, Hospital, Medical, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Physical Education, Administration etc.

Physiotherapy can be defined as a part of the advanced system of strength and fitness. The forbearance of cardio vascular rehabilitation, dominance in sports and vestibule rehabilitation in neurology are being used on a regular basis, by the proficient physiotherapists across the country. In various conditions like the knowledge of brisk walking and slow walking, sports injuries, strengthen a particular set of muscles, Proprio Neuromuscular Facilitation and Bobath technique are some of the conditions in which a physiotherapist can only help. The College of Physiotherapy offers an undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), which induces in a student the knowledge of physiotherapy, because it is they who can bring back a patient prosperously back to his socio economic and functional well being.
