Overview

Department of Psychology was founded under the aegis of Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University. It is wholly approved by Ministry of HRD, NAAC and UGC. The mission of the Department is to impart examined knowledge in psychology coupled with its applications to enrich the subject. It is a large and dynamic Postgraduate Department offering Masters and Doctoral programs in Counseling, Clinical and Industrial Psychology, etc. The Department offers courses such as M.A. in Psychology and Ph.D. Psychology. It strives to reach out to the society through media and technology for spreading knowledge in the field of psychology to benefit the masses. The aim of the Department is to promote mental health education in Clinical, Industrial and counseling settings through teaching, research, and service. The programs offered consists predominantly of hands-on training in various professional domains of psychology.
