Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University founded a constituent college named, Department of Textile & Clothing. The department is accredited by NAAC and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). Textile products play a vital role in meeting a man’s basic needs. The Department plays a crucial role in Textile Product Development and Apparel Designing. The objective of the Department is to develop students with the latest knowledge of textiles, apparel design, fashion and related disciplines and to do research in the field of Textile Science and Apparel Design. It offers courses such as Postgraduate Diploma Apparel Merchandising and Management, M.Phil. Textile Science and Apparel Design and many more. The programs proffer a unique combination of Textiles and Apparel Design. The aim of the Department is to provide the students with a more formal understanding of the textile industry for future career opportunities within that field.
