Overview

Sasmira's Institute of Man-Made Textiles was founded in 1961 by The Synthetic & Art Silk Mills Research Association. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, and is also recignized by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE). The vision of the institute is to produce technically sound, competent and committed professionals having complete managerial skills to lead the Indian Textile industry to a world leader status. The central mission is to establish and provide a comprehensive training facility and to cater to the industrial requirements of specialized skills in the emerging high-tech areas. Some of the courses offered by the institute are Diploma Man-Made Textile Technology, Diploma in Knitting Technology, etc. The institute strives to imbibe techno-commercial skills to produce all-round professionals. The institute aims to imbibe techno-commercial skills in the students to produce comprehensive professionals. The mission of the institute is to set international benchmarks in the field of textile and vocational education.
