Overview

Thakur Junior College was started in 1992 to serve the needs of students passing SSC examination from the schools around Kandivali area and Thakur Vidya Mandir which has already established itself as one of the schools in the area. It offers courses at primarily the higher secondary and under-graduate levels. As a natural consequence of the immense confidence reposed by the students and their parents in the Junior college, the Degree section was established in 1997 in order to provide continuity in their pursuit of higher education.Our College represents every year in the sports and extra curricular activities not only at the University and state level but also at National & International level.

College has been recently Reaccredited in January, 2011, with Grade ‘A’ (CGPA 3. 10) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an Autonomous Institution of the University Grants Commission . To further enhance the career of our students, six specialized Master’s degree courses have been introduced in the college. Thakur College of Science & Commerce has already formed a nucleus for a vibrant educational campus with Thakur College of Engineering & Technology, Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research.
