Overview
This college was established by the Kelkar Education Trust, in memory of its founder trustee, late Shri Annasaheb Vaze. V G Vaze College of Arts Science & Commerce or also popularly known as Kelkar College was set up in 1984 and is affiliated to Mumbai University. The college is located at Mulund East in Mumbai and the campus covers an area of 2.5 acres with 1, 90,000 sq. ft of built up area. It is the youngest college to get permanent affiliation from the university and is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai since 1990. The college was also later recognized by UGC (University grants commission). The College is the first affiliated Arts, Science and Commerce institution in the state of Maharashtra which was assessed for accreditation by National Assessment and Accrediation Council (NAAC), which the institution of UGC had started. College received an "A" grade from NAAC in 2011.
