Overview
The Centre has resumed its functioning in 1998 as a research project sponsored by International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada,United States Dept. of Agriculture (USDA-PL-480), and ICAR and University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi under SAP-1 and SAP-2. Subsequently in 1995, Govt. of Maharashtra recognized the center. Since then,the Center is acting as a nucleus of research, teaching, training and extension activities and addressing basic problems related to sericulture and pest management. The center is also acting as clearing house by providing, pertinent information on utilization of commercial insects through, education, training, extension, consultancy and opportunities from doctoral to farmer level.
