Overview

Department of Electronic Science of Savitribai Phule Pune University was established in 1984 with a goal to provide highly skilled and scientifically oriented professionals that can keep up with the rapid growth of technology that is growing at an unprecedented rate. Progressive, adaptive and flexible training programmes along with cohesive interaction with industry, academia and research organisations and advanced infrastructure are used to groom professionals of high calibre who are well-equipped to face the challenges of the field. The syllabi of the courses are regularly updated with a blend of fundamental and advanced concepts of technology and are incorporated in the curriculum through innovative teaching methodologies. Apart from teaching, the department also conducts research and consultancy activities, which give students valuable and direct exposure to the current problems the industry is facing.
