Department of Management Science at Savitribai Phule Pune University, also known as PUMBA, was founded in 1971 as one the countryâ€™s first management institutes, with a flagship MBA programme. The goal of the institute is to become a centre of excellence for teaching, education and research in the field of management by careful creation, advancement, conservation and dissemination of knowledge. Excellent faculty base combined with high-quality value-based education, an industry oriented curriculum, modern infrastructure and abundant industry exposure create qualified, capable and confident management professionals. The aim of the institute is to empower both its students and faculty so that they can they contribute effectively to the economic, social and technological growth of the nation.
