Overview
The Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University Department of Communication Media for Children is the only one of its kind in the country which conducts multidisciplinary courses based on the educational and recreational requirements of children between the ages of 3-12 and the uses of media to meet these requirements. Children, the future of tomorrow, are exposed to media in the form of televisions, computers, mobiles, etc., and are highly impressionable at a tender age, so it becomes essential that the media impacting children is used optimally. The goal is to provide training and education regarding the best use of the various forms of media for the benefit of children. Students learn about writing for children, audio-visual aspects of electronic media and traditional media such as puppetry.
