Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management Studies was founded in 2004 by Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratishthan. It is approved by AICTE, DTE, Govt of Maharashtra, NAAC and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The mission of the institute is to create professional and value based leaders in all the aspects of the management science, who can successfully thrive on the cutting edge of global market competition while positively contributing to the improvement of the quality of human life in all spheres of business as well as non-business activity. It strives to provide better coordination and delivery of academic services to students through the transparent system at all levels and to improve the link between the academia, industry and business. It strives to emerge and be accepted as the preferred place for management education and training initially in this part of India and then move to the wider global horizon.
