Overview

SMST College of Education was established in the year 2008 by a renowned educational organisation- Snehavardhak Mandal Shaikshanik Trust, with an objective to provide equal educational opportunities to students across the country. It is a co-educational, English medium, non-residential institute and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. SMST College of Education runs a full-time Bachelor course in Education (B.Ed) for the aspiring teachers. Apart from this, in-service teachers can pursue a distance learning course, i.e. a Diploma in School Management, which if affiliated to YCMOU. The institution strives to produce competent teachers ready to take up global challenges. The college has an outstanding team of faculty members who have adopted innovative teaching methodologies so as to give a better understanding of the field to the students. A combination of various such factors has made this college highly desirable among the youth of our nation.
