Overview

Indian Institute of Management was formed in the year 2010 and is the ninth institute in the reputed group of IIMs across the country. IIM Ranchi was initiated with an extensive support of the Government of Jharkhand and Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; working under the mentorship of Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The institution provides a two-year extensive flagship program PGDM in General management, Fellow Program in Management (FPM) funded by the government and an 18-month part-time Diploma in Management (PGEXP). With the rising demands and requirements associated with human resources, IIM Ranchi is the only IIM proffering a full-time two-year programme in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM). They also commenced a certified Barefoot Manger program to encourage entrepreneurship and to provide expertise to the school drop outs. IIMR aims at developing effective managers and business leaders. It aspires to ensure that the students get the right education to sustain in any organization. The institute takes keen interest and efforts in developing the students for the future by teaching courses on emerging trends and areas like neural networks, analytics and energy management. Thus, IIM Ranchi is renowned for a designed curriculum and a holistically nurturing environment.
