• About Chembur Colony Yuvak Mandal

Chembur Colony Yuvak Mandal was founded in the year 1953 in Chembur, Mumbai by a devoted social worker and a well-known educationist, Late Shri Hashu Advani, who also happens to be an ex-Finance Minister of Maharashtra. The primary objective behind the establishment of this NGO was to create a brotherhood of tradition, compassion and an intense desire to serve the community. The society readily accepted this initiative with both arms which led to its expansion to other activities. Today, the CCYM has its own school for Hearing Handicapped; a college for Special Education that trains teachers on how to handle students with a disability; and a training centre for imparting quality education to the semi-literate and illiterate. The NGO, through its ambitions and beliefs, has reached a height no one has ever attained and strives to rise higher in future.
